Neuromeningeal Manipulation
When the body has been compromised by trauma or any condition that leads to tissue inflammation, the nervous system will be affected. Inflammation leads to scar tissue formation which can result in a local restriction of a nerve and/or injury of the connective tissues within the nerve itself.
Nerves need to be able to glide and slide in relationship to their neighboring tissues. When a nerve is restricted the normal blood flow to that nerve is diminished. This impairs the function of the nerve and can create significant pain.
Neuromeningeal manipulation is an effective way to evaluate if there is tension on a nerve and then treat to release that tension, allowing the nerve to heal, improve it’s function and relieve the pain.
